ABOUT

Bowl of Grapes

Say it as if you mean it, “I DESERVE HEALTH." We need to say this to ourselves (and to others) over and over until we believe it. Only then can we begin taking the steps to achieve it. YOU deserve it! Your family deserves it, your future generations, your community, your passions, and career deserves it! We need to be healthy to do and take care of the things and people we love.

Everything that enters our bodies will become the building blocks that our systems use to make new cells for proper function. Imagine a building made with poorly constructed materials. How long will it last before it starts to crumble and fall apart? Now, imagine another building where the contractors take their time and use their resources to find the best materials to build a structure. How sound will that structure be? Which building has the potential to last longer? The investment and energy may have been more time consuming and costly than the first building, but it is well worth it!

Those around us learn and watch everything that we do. If you have children (or anyone you help care for) think about the habits you show and teach them? Any person concerned about their "legacy" should be concerned about how we care for one of the most important things given to us (besides this earth)— OUR BODIES. Our bodies are “a thing” so easily taken for granted when nothing "seems" wrong.

Let me come alongside you on this journey. It might be easy (or hard) depending on the things that need to be changed, but I can guarantee it will be well worth it.

 ABOUT MARY

Mary is a mother of five, wife to Pablo, and a lifelong learner. She grew up with a curiosity about the world that could not be put out. She learned from an early age that the answers to anything can be found if one simply looked for them. This has come in handy time and time again, especially when raising four children! In her elementary years, she developed a passion for taking care of the earth, those around her, and our bodies. That passion never ended and she knew she wanted a career that would help others learn these things as well. Mary earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Health Education, with a concentration in grades K-12. She then earned her Master’s of Science in Biology, with a concentration in Middle and Highschool Education. She went on to teach Health Education for 5 years as part of the Medical Magnet Program in the Yonkers Public School System. During her time teaching, she came to realize the importance and organic connection between nutrition, our mental health, and our physical health. She saw how they all worked together, and how they all affect our lives. During this time she also started her family. She realized that her doctors did not have all of the answers she needed to keep her family healthy. They were reactive rather than proactive. While dealing with her own unanswered questions concerning autoimmune issues, her children's sensory processing issues, intestinal problems, her family's cancers, heart disease, Alzheimer's, etc., she felt helpless. She wanted to do something but didn’t know where to start. Conventional medicine only provided temporary band-aids and never seemed to get to the root cause. It wasn't until a field trip to the botanical gardens (while taking a botany class), that she learned about other possible solutions. Intrigued, she picked up a book on natural healing for children and this opened a whole new world for her. Fast forward 10 years and she has finally decided to pursue a career in Nutritional Therapy. Nutritional Therapy is a "holistic approach for assessing nutritional deficiencies in the body.” The Nutritional Therapy Association Practitioner program “is evidence-based and backed by science, while honoring bio-individuality and innate intelligence." She is so excited to begin this next journey into nutritional healing.
